Tucano Checked Knit Winter Scarf

Brushed heavily on both faces, this winter scarf has a soft napped surface that hides the weave and gives the checks a slightly blurred edge. It is cut long and wide enough to wrap twice and still hang past the waist, and the ends finish in a deep hand-knotted fringe. The check is a broad windowpane grid in two tones over a pale ground, and the whole piece is thick enough to sit up around the jaw when it is looped. In the photographs it is worn loose over a coat and doubled back through itself at the neck.
