Solid Brass Qilin Statue Pair with Coin Strings

A mirrored pair of cast brass qilin, the mythical guardian beast with a dragon's head, a scaled body and hooved feet, each caught mid-stride with a forepaw resting on a sphere. Both figures stand on a rectangular plinth cast with a coin and ingot pattern, and the pair face outward so they sit either side of a doorway, a desk or a shelf. The metal is solid rather than plated and is finished bright, so the scales, mane and teeth stay crisp, and it will take on a deeper tone with handling.
