A loose-leaf notebook bound on a flat plastic spine rather than a wire coil, with the rings moulded into a strip that clicks open so sheets are added, moved or taken out without unthreading anything. Because the spine is flat, the closed book stacks without the coil catching on the one above it and there is no wire to bend out of shape in a bag. The covers are a coated board that beads water rather than soaking it up, and the punched sheets are ruled with a plain margin.
