A short adapter lead that takes a DisplayPort output on a computer and turns it into a socket for a second display standard, so an existing monitor, television or projector can be driven without changing the graphics card. The plug end is a moulded DisplayPort connector with gold-plated contacts and the sprung retaining latch that DisplayPort uses, released by pinching the tab before pulling it out. The other end is a moulded female socket on about 25cm of flexible cable, short enough to hang behind a machine without a loop of slack. Two versions are offered, one ending in HDMI and one in VGA, and neither needs a separate power supply. • DisplayPort plug to a female HDMI or VGA socket • Gold-plated contacts with a sprung latch • About 25cm of flexible cable • No external power supply needed • Drives a monitor, TV or projector Please note: • Select HDMI or VGA and the required resolution and housing option before ordering. • Confirm that the source device has a full-size DisplayPort output and that the display cable matches the selected female port.
